Here's swatches of every brown eyeshadow I own-so you can see what's dupable or if there's a shade you desperately need!
From left to right: Vanity Fair from JK by Jemma Kidd, WnW Silent Treatment palette, Maybelline Eye Studio in Bronze Blowout, Cinnamon Spice from Maybelline, Maybelline Stylish Smokes quad in Natural Smokes (next two swatches), CoverGirl quad, Brown Smolder from CoverGirl.
When I first used the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze, my first throught was that the color was very similar to a Maybelline single eyeshadow in Cinnamon Spice. So, I put them to the test!
When comparing them in the packaging, right away they look very similar, but Cinnamon Spice (on the right) looks a tad bit lighter and warmer than Bad to the Bronze.
Bad to the Bronze on the left, Cinnamon Spice on the right
Bad to the Bronze has just a bit more depth and is more of a true bronze color than Cinnamon Spice. But they are very similar!
I like to set Bad to the Bronze with Cinnamon Spice, actually, because it just ensures that the cream will last all day, and the colors are very similar so I don't lose any of the payoff!
Everyone has those products that just fall behind the dresser, so to speak. I'm more of a neutrals person because I don't really have the time and place to wear a lot of bright color, so most of my unused products are bright colored.
-Bare Escentuals All Over Face Glow in Rose Radiance
-NARS Eyeshadow Duo in Cheyenne
-NYC Color Eyeliner in Electric Blue
-elf Mineral Shadow in Beachy
-elf Mineral Shadow in Dreamy
The Bare Escentuals is the only one that doesn't scream color, and the reason that I don't really use it is because it's basically just like putting shimmer on my face. I would much rather wear my actual highlighter or a pigmented blush.
The others are just colors that I don't really wear. But don't worry, I got all of these on clearance so at the most, you're looking at $20 worth of product total here!
What are your top five beauty products you just don't use?
I love Heidi Klum. Project Runway is one of my favorite shows and she totally rocks it. But unfortunately, I can't say that I'm as big of a fan of her fragrance.
"Shine" is a very sultry, sexy fragrance. The main notes are vanilla, and there's a bunch of undernotes and business, but I think that the vanilla is so overpowering that it's hard to distinguish the others.
This is also a very heavy fragrance-nothing light and airy here.
Who is this fragrance good for? Mature women. This is definitely not a fragrance for anyone in their teens or early twenties. Don't get me wrong, it's a lovely perfume, I just don't think it's a universal scent.
Also, if like me, you don't particularly like vanilla (or really hate it in my case), don't go near this. It will give you a headache for days!
