Olivia Garden via Big Daddy Beauty Ceramic Round Brushes Review!

 

You may or may not know that I pretty much always air dry my hair-I've never been particularly into blow drying my hair after I shower. Recently I was asked to review these Olivia Garden brushes so I thought I'd give it a go!

 

These are from the Ceramic + Ion Mega Thermal Round Hair brush line which ranges from $15.75 to $30.75-quite expensive for brushes, if I do say so myself. They are not made in the US and my first impression of them was, well, a little cheap. The construction is certainly not the most solid and I honestly expected something that had a little more weight.

 

Before I go on, I have thick, frizzy, long hair. And in the summer, it gets wavy almost to the point of curly. Of the two brushes, I really liked the big brush and didn't like the smaller brush.

 

The larger brush has lots of fine bristles that make it easy for it to just glide through my hair as I'm blow drying it. The smaller brush, however, is just not right for my hair. I have a lot of hair, so it kept getting tangled in big knots in the bristles in the smaller brush, so it's not that it's defective or a bad brush, it just wasn't right for my hair type.

 

Now, after everything was said and dried, my hair was still a little frizzy. Not as much as usual, but I still needed to use an additional styling cream to take care of the rest of the frizz. Was my hair more shiny & healthy looking? No. But, that could also be because I only blow dry my hair after I wash it.

 

So what did I think overall?

These brushes are just okay. I wasn't wowed at all, I just found them to be average hair brushes. I like them, and will continue to use them overall!

 

Would I recommend them?

For the price, no. I think that there are plenty of other options available at Target or Walmart.
