This challenge has been floating around Youtube for a little while now and being a bit of a budget diva myself, I decided to take a crack at it.
All of the prices are from Walmart.com, since that's the cheapest and most widely available place to find products that I've found. It's just the elf brush and Wet n Wild trio that can't be bought there.
Here's what I used:
Maybelline Fit Me Foundation--$5
Wet n Wild Trio in Silent Treatment--$2.99
Revlon Lip Butter in Pink Truffle--$6.49
Maybelline Big Great Lash Mascara--$4.44
e.l.f. Concealer Brush--$1
I do like the Maybelline foundation, and you can often find a coupon for it to make it under $5. It gives me good coverage, as you can see in the comparison of before and after photos below. So I used this all over, and a little extra under my eyes and on discoloration since I didn't include any concealer.
For my eyes, I used the purple/taupe shade all over the lid, put the peach as a brow highlight and inner corner highlight, and the used the concealer brush to apply the very dark brown as an eyeliner. I really recommend this quad, especially if you have brown eyes, because the colors really make brown eyes pop!
I then put the Great Lash mascara on my lashes, which is a great budget mascara if you're on the market for one!
I actually used the lip butter for blush and lipstick. Pink Truffle works great because it's a really nice rosy blush color and brightens my lips too!
And the finished look! & my face for the first time on this blog!
This is actually one of my favorite looks because it's so natural and complimentary!
I'm planning on doing a series of these $20 challenge looks because it really forces you to look at what you have, and rediscover some products!
What do you think?
